A tribute to the Kardashian animals you may have forgotten

The Kardashians have had a lot of pets. Having trouble remembering them all? We’ve compiled a list of the most memorable.

The Kardashians have shown us like six million pets during their time on TV.  We’ve compiled a list of some of the most memorable pets. I won’t lie, I’m kind of jealous of all of them. My cat and I will never be as famous as Kim Kardashian and her kitten, Mercy.

We certainly will try though!

Here’s to you, animals! Hopefully whatever happened to you, you had the best time ever being a Kardashian.

There have been a wide array of pets including cats, hamsters, dogs, dogs, dogs, oh, and did we mention dogs? Maybe it’s time for the girls to remember not to be pet moms in the future. They are amazing human moms, but other than Khloe and Kylie, their pet mom skills could use some serious work.

Kris Jenner: Going ape over monkey business

Kris Jenner is famed as a mom and manager.

But we will never forget when the Keeping Up With The Kardashians momager got into monkey business.

Literally.

In episode 9 of the third season, titled “Leaving the Nest,” Kim Kardashian and her sisters got concerned that Kris was suffering from empty nest syndrome.

Now Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe could have encouraged their mom to become a foster parent, whether to young kids or babies, or to volunteer at an animal shelter.

But in true Keeping Up With The Kardashians fashion, the Kardashian sisters went for an over-the-top choice in bringing Kris a monkey to compensate for having her kids grow up and leave home.

As Now To Love pointed out, the episode seemed highly scripted, with Jenner coming to the aw, gosh, who’d had thought it realization that keeping Suzy the furry baby wasn’t a wise move.

Kim later had to apologize for unveiling publicity photos of the entire clan posing with Suzy mere days after a show business chimp went wild.

“The pictures I posted are from six months ago when we were filming season three of Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kardashian explained on her website. “I had held onto these pictures for months and preset them to run the month before my show was going to air, to give you guys exclusive glimpses into season three.”

Kim then called the attack “devastating” and shared that she and her mother “cried” learning about the situation. She added that she did not mean to “insult or offend anyone by posting these pictures.”

What do you name a really mellow dog?

Honey, of course. And that’s the name that Kourtney Kardashian chooses for her precious pup.

Kourtney and Kim Kardashian actually got puppies who were sisters.

And just like human siblings who can be totally different, it became clear quickly that Kourtney’s puppy Honey and Kim’s puppy Sushi were complete opposites.

Honey is a calm little puppy, a dramatic contrast to Kim’s dog Sushi who runs around yipping and biting human’s toes.

Now we find it rather interesting that Kourtney tends to be much more mellow and calm than Kim…like owner like dog?

Hmmm.

Kim found Honey so appealing that she even attempted to be a dognapper, swapping Honey for Sushi.

However, that attempt failed.

So where is Honey now?

Well, while Sushi has made several appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians as well as Kim’s Instagram, we haven’t seen one single pawprint of Honey show up anywhere.

Kourtney is active on Instagram, and she does have pictures of the kids…but without the dog.

As for her lifestyle site, Poosh, you can find plenty of advice on everything from diet to food, from decorating a kid’s room to throwing a unicorn birthday party…but what about pets?

Please, Kourtney, throw us a bone and share an Instagram photo or a Poosh blog that tells us how Honey is doing. And if she’s gone to the proverbial farm in the country with lots of green grass on which to romp and loving owners, well, we hope it’s a posh one!

Kim Kardashian gets help from Dog Whisperer for Sushi

Who ya gonna call?

Well, if you’re Kim Kardashian having problems with a naughty puppy, you call the Dog Whisperer, also known as Cesar Millan.

The Pomeranian puppy, named Sushi,  was actually a gift from Kim and Kanye West for North’s fifth birthday.

And as Get Leashed noted, the yapping puppy turned the Kardashian household into chaos.

In contrast to Kourtney’s mellow dog Honey, Kim felt that Sushi was a non-stop barker.

Kardashian needed her sleep, and Sushi apparently felt that nighttime is the time to party (or at least bark).

“For my sanity, all I wanted was a really calm dog,” said Kim to Milan.

Cesar studied Sushi in the environment that Kim had created.

He recommended that Kardashian create a more structured environment for Sushi and to use caution in rewarding bad behavior.

What we wish Milan had noted (not just for Sushi but for the overall Kardashian family’s pet future) is the importance of understanding a breed characteristics before buying a puppy.

The Pomeranian, points out Dog Time, “has a personality the size of Texas!”

And although they’re cute, these dogs are also feisty, independent and bold.

Proper socialization is essential.

So for the sake of Kim’s sanity and Sushi’s future, we hope that Kardashian follows through with Cesar’s advice to provide structure and reward the puppy only when she’s exhibiting good behavior.

Kim gets an adorable love kitten

Lord have Mercy! Kim Kardashian was gifted an adorable present from Kanye West, but maybe she wasn’t quite cut out for a live animal.

Kanye gave his future wife a kitten to keep her company while she was out of town.

To me, it seems like he bought the adorable kitten to win Kim Kardashian over since it was still pretty early in their budding relationship.

*A note to my future husband* You can most definitely win me over with a kitten. That is all.

In theory, this was an adorable idea. In reality, Kim Kardashian was NOT cut out to have a cat. While Mercy was pretty much the cutest thing ever…Kim took her to some weird places. AKA everywhere.

If you’ve ever had a cat, you know they don’t want to go outside. Poor Mercy was forced to go everywhere with her mom, Kim. Kim even lost Mercy at one point. It was nice in theory but actually a pretty terrible idea.

Kim learned the ups and downs of being a cat mom including potty training (Mercy did NOT know how to use the litter pan). Thankfully, Kim is a much better human mom than she is an animal mom. We never did see Kim with another cat.

So what happened to Mercy? Unfortunately, it sounds like Mercy died. Kim decided to get rid of the kitten since she was a horrible cat mom. According to Huffpost, Mercy died of a “cancer-like virus”

We are soooo sad. Here at Kardashian Dish, we are HUGE cat lovers. However, we are glad Mercy got a good home though before she passed on.

I hope kitty heaven is amazing, Mercy!

Kylie and her MANY dogs

One that’s probably hard to forget, but definitely needs a mention is Kylie Jenner and all her dogs.

Kylie has had her dogs for quite sometime and is crazy about them. By crazy, I mean crazy. The makeup star brings them to set with her even. Before Stormi, they were her many babies. However, now it’s unclear how she’s really taking care of all of them.

During her short time on Life of Kylie, she talked about how important they all were. However, this was all pre-baby and Travis Scott.

Recently, it was suggested that something may have happened to the pups, but Kylie cleared it up and let everyone know they are still happy and healthy.

This all happened after Kylie got ANOTHER new puppy. Her house must be full to the brim with dogs.

Wondering all the dog’s names? Well, here you go:

She is definitely going for the “ey” theme. After all, Stormi fits in just right. Let’s never forget though, the time Travis Scott didn’t know all of Kylie Jenner’s dogs names. That kind of seems like something your boyfriend would know…call me crazy.

Regardless, Kylie definitely seems the most cut out to be a pet parent. Norman and the gang are probably living like kings and queens. After all, their mom is the youngest self made billionaire.

Dolce and Gabbana

We KNOW you didn’t forget these two iconic legends! However, we also certainly couldn’t leave them out!

Last but not least, Dolce and Gabbana were two of the very first pets we saw on Keeping up with the Kardashians. The dog duo were honestly so cute. Gabbana, nicknamed “Goober” by Khloe Kardashian, went on to be seen in many, many more seasons of the reality show.

Dolce, an adorable chihuahua, was unfortunately killed by a coyote according to Daily Mail.

Gabbana lived for quite sometime and actually just recently passed away of a heart tumor. This was a rough time for mama, Khloe Kardashian. She mentioned that Gabbana had been there for her through all of the hard times. That dog was basically her pre-True baby, so it’s so sad that she had to say goodbye.

However, we were glad to see one dog last so long, season after season of the show. Gabbana must have held a VERY special place in the Kardashian family hearts.

Heartbreakingly, Khloe said she think that Gabbana left when she knew Khloe wouldn’t be alone. Don’t mind me, just choking back tears.

There are SO many more Kardashian animals including cats and way more dogs. Let’s never forget Kendall’s dog that wouldn’t stop pooping on the floor. Most recently we even saw North get a hamster, that died, but then she got a new one.
