We finally learn the new name of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s son!  On Saturday, January 21st, Kylie shared four heartwarming photos of her baby boy with the simple caption, “Aire,” with a connecting white heart emoji.  Meet Aire Webster!

The reveal comes two weeks before Aire’s first birthday, which falls on February 2nd.  He was born Wolf Jacques Webster.  A month after Kylie’s son was born, the new mom announced that she and Travis would change his original name.  In an IG story, Kylie shared with her followers, “We just really didn’t feel like it was him.”  His middle name is still presumably “Jacques” at the moment.

When Kylie announced Aire’s official arrival, she shared a precious black and white photo of older daughter Stormi holding her new baby brother’s tiny wrist.  The post was captioned 2/2/22 and linked with a blue heart emoji.

Her pregnancy and labor were highlighted in the first and second seasons of The Kardashians.

The meaning of Aire

Aire originates from the Hebrew name Ariel which means “lion of God.”  Kylie wore a unique Schiaparelli-designed gown with a faux lion head as if to pay a special nod to her son on the first day of Paris Fashion Week.  She accessorized the dress with Kylie Cosmetics makeup and gold-studded slingback pumps.

While some voiced concern that the lion’s head represented trophy hunting and cruelty, Schiaparelli’s creative director Daniel Roseberry clarified that the Lion’s Head dress, and two other versions, a snow Leopard and a black wolf, are inspired by the 14th-century poem “Inferno” by Dante Alighieri and “celebrate the glory of nature.”

How is Aire pronounced?  What Kylie Jenner said

A fan page by the name of Kylie Snapchat asked the beauty mogul about the proper pronunciation of Aire.

Kylie responded, “It’s Air,” ending it with a red heart emoji.

Following the birth of Aire, Kylie took some time for herself to “bounce back” as her second pregnancy was more challenging than her first one with Stormi.  Nonetheless, her children are her world.

What do you think of the new name?
