Kim Kardashian and North West hang out with Katy Perry on the same day Taylor Swift album drops. Shade or nah? 

Katy Perry was in Los Angeles to perform a concert. Coincidentally, it was on the same night that Taylor Swift’s Reputation album dropped and was the anniversary of the death of Kanye West’s mom. Kim Kardashian and North West were out that night with Katy Perry after watching her in concert, leaving fans to wonder if Kim hanging with Katy on that specific day was some major Taylor Swift shade or if it was all just a coincidence.

Considering that Swift has famously been feuding with Katy Perry for years, it’s hard to imagine that this photo op was anything other than shade. Well, shade and a really good time. Katy Perry concerts are a lot of fun and it’s easy to see why North West would enjoy it.

Even though Kanye West was featured on at least one of the songs Katy sang during the night, the “Gold Digger” was not there. Kanye hasn’t been making many public appearances over the past year and it’s not surprising that he didn’t surface on the 10th anniversary of the death of his mother.

It’s likely that Kim Kardashian’s concert trip with North was the KUWTK star’s way of getting out of Kanye’s way while he mourns his mom. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Katy Perry concert was specifically how she sent a message to Taylor Swift about how unbothered that new album has her.

After all, one of Taylor’s songs talks about how upset she was that Kanye recorded their phone call. That same phone call nearly destroyed her after Swift spent so much energy trying to turn Kanye into the bad guy, only to be outed as a liar. It seems that she was clearly in the wrong when she denied knowledge of Kanye’s song “Famous” when their conversation where he told her about it was recorded.
