Diplo remembers when Kanye West told him he would marry Kim Kardashian

Kanye West crushed on Kim Kardashian for a long time before even dating her and Diplo remembers. 

Kanye West was chasing Kim Kardashian for years before they ever dated. Part of it was an issue of timing, they both seemed to be dating (or in Kim’s case she was married to) someone else and they just kept missing each other.

For years, Kanye insisted that someday, he was going to marry Kim Kardashian. Diplo remembers Kanye’s prophetic words. He recently shared them in an animated short for TBS Digital’s Storyville. 

In case you haven’t seen this show, it’s worth paying attention to even when the Kardashians and those who are Kardashian-adjacent aren’t part of the story. The show is very simply animated and on it, some pretty famous people like Diplo tell an interesting story that is also animated.

In this case, Diplo told his “Kanye West Story” and it’s pretty easy to see why he’s still telling it. The popular DJ explained that he’s known Kim Kardashian’s husband for about 20 years. However, this has to be the craziest story he has about the rapper, right? Well, maybe or maybe not since Kanye can be a little bit eccentric.

In the animated short, Diplo explained that he was in the studio one time way before Kanye West married Kim Kardashian. He said they were busy making beats and that Full House stars Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were there watching. That alone is pretty weird.

Why would the Olsen twins be in the studio with Diplo and Kanye? Kanye told Diplo that the former child stars were his “thermometer” as to what white girls are listening too.

Anyway, Diplo’s story took place back when Kanye was still friends with Jay Z. He said that was when Kanye and Jay Z were making Watch The Throne together according to Billboard. During the session, he said that Kanye looked up in all seriousness and said that he was going to marry Kim Kardashian, become the president and be a fashion designer.

Now, Kanye West is out there in a lot of ways but is he psychic? So far, two out of three of the things Kanye said he was going to do came true. As for the third, West has already said he plans to run for president in 2020. Maybe he’ll even win and be right about all three.
