Foodgod: What’s the story behind Jonathan Cheban’s name change?

Kim Kardashian’s BFF Jonathan Cheban is changing his name and it is everything.

The KUWTK fans have grown to love (or at least tolerate) Kim Kardashian’s best friend, Jonathan Cheban. He has been around forever, and he is usually wherever Kim is. In fact, he played a huge role in A Very Kardashian Holiday. Not only is Cheban close with Kardashian, but he seems to enjoy spending time with Kris Jenner as well.

Earlier this month, Jonathan Cheban announced he was legally going to change his name to Foodgod. Not only will his name be changed, but his entire brand will be Foogod. Right now, his Twitter handle has been updated and so has his Instagram.

Jonathan Cheban is definitely a foodie. He is all about the food and he spends a lot of his time visiting restaurants. There is a cult-like following for Cheban, especially because he is Kim Kardashian’s BFF. While he may rub people (like me) the wrong way, he is definitely an authority on food.

He is so into this foodie life, Kim Kardashian joked she needed to break up with him while trying to get in shape. Of course, that would never last because they are together more than not. This could be a huge deal for Cheban, especially if he plays his cards right. Making a name for himself that isn’t connected to Kardashian is important, especially since he isn’t a spring chicken anymore.
