Kris Jenner had trouble accepting O.J. Simpson’s parole

Kris Jenner and close friend Faye Resnick had their uneasy reactions to O.J. Simpson’s parole hearing captured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

If O.J. Simpson getting paroled from prison surprised you, you’re not alone!

On Sunday’s new episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Simpson’s parole hearing was brought up between Kris Jenner and Faye Resnick. It’s important to note that Resnick was very close friends with one of Simpson’s alleged murder victims, ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson. Resnick never believed the former football star to be innocent of his accused crimes, so she likely felt much more comfortable when Simpson was locked up for other charges in 2008.

Though Simpson had been given a maximum sentence of 33 years, he would ultimately only serve a portion of that. In July 2017, his upcoming parole hearing had been made public. And Resnick’s reaction, along with Jenner’s, show that both weren’t happy at all that Simpson would be back on the streets soon. “It scares the death out of me,” Resnick explained to Jenner, adding, “I’ve been having nightmares about that.”

Jenner herself wasn’t all too thrilled about Simpson’s parole hearing either. In fact, she completely ignores what Resnick says, switching the subject to the quality of her lunch. Resnick asks her how she can go from having such a serious conversation to talking about food. Jenner then is forced to admit it’s because she’s “in denial” too. It’s obvious she’s very bothered by it, and is unable to even make eye contact with Resnick.

At the time, Simpson’s parole was merely a possibility, though his chances were looking good. Now that he’s actually back in society, one has to wonder what Resnick and Jenner are thinking now. In any case, Simpson might be a free man, but it doesn’t look like he’s going to spend his remaining Christmases exchanging cards with either of the two ladies.

Of course, Simpson has long had ties to Jenner as well. Her late husband Robert Kardashian was a good friend of O.J.’s, even supporting him during the infamous trial. He even served as a part of his legal defense team along with Johnnie Cochran and Robert Shapiro. Kardashian passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003.
