Khloe’s clothing brand invents new size
By Haley Cook
Good American is inventing a new size and adding it to their line. After talking to women over a size 12 about what they look for in jeans, they found they needed a size between 14 and 16 to make women comfortable.
Good American, co-founded by Khloe Kardashian and Emma Grede, has added a new size to their line of famous jeans. The announcement was made on the Good American Instagram and customers can be ready to purchase size 15 pants on Thursday Sept. 20.
According to Instagram, this new size took a lot of research from real women. The brand spoke to women above a size 12 to find out what they need in a pair of pants. According to Refinery29, the brand looked at the product returns since they opened in 2016 and found that 50% of returns were sizes 14 and 16. Thus, the size 15 was born.
Good American is known for their attentiveness to the way the body is actually shaped. The Good American website reads:
"“Emma and I both agreed there was something missing from the denim community,” says Khloe. “Whenever we bought new jeans, it was hard for us to find a pair that fit our body types, and even when we did they’d always need alterations. We knew if we both had this problem, there must be tons of girls who did too. So we set out to make a denim line that’s sexy and flattering, and made to fit you – not the other way round.”"
According to the website, Good American focuses on categories such as body positivity, extreme inclusivity, breaking down barriers and looking good and doing good.
