Kris Jenner gets slammed by Instagram fans after the KUWTK momager built up Kendall’s big brave reveal that turned out to be an ad for pimples!
Kris Jenner is used to staying in the background as the manager/mom of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK) clan.
But in the wake of Kris proclaiming herself “so proud” of Kendall “for being so brave and vulnerable” by sharing what was supposed to be Jenner’s “most raw story,” fans are feeling duped.
Kris Jenner promised fans Kendall Jenner’s huge reveal: What went wrong
In a video that went viral, Kris had promised that Kendall would be making “a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue.”
Jenner called her daughter’s statement “a testament to the incredible woman you’ve become.”
But fans didn’t respond to the reveal as Kris had anticipated. Instead, as one fan wrote on the original video that promised a “raw story,” many followers felt “disgusted.”
Kris had used promising hashtags on her Instagram page on which she posted Kendall’s hints at the reveal.
“bethechange #shareyourstory#changetheconversation #proudmom#finallyasolution #authenticity#mydaughterinspiresme #getready,” wrote Jenner.
But fans weren’t so sure that it was actually authentic, as many pointed out to Kris.
Kris Jenner’s buildup to Kendall Jenner ad leaves fans questioning
Some followers blamed the KUWTK momager rather than Kendall for calling the “deal with proactive” the supermodel’s “most raw” story.
“First world problems,” pointed out one fan to Kris.
Some followers felt that Kendall was out of touch with reality.
“Can you imagine being so privileged that your biggest problem in life was some pimples?” questioned one follower to Jenner.
Twitter blasts Kris Jenner and Kendall
Twitter also slammed the mom and daughter, pointed out Yahoo.
Initially, speculation about Kendall’s reveal ranged from anorexia to anxiety to an illness.
But when Jenner announced that she has become the new face of skin care product line Proactiv, Twitter blasted the Jenner duo.
Kendall shared in the ad that she had gotten negative feedback about acne on her chin at the Golden Globes last year. She called the acne brand “magic,” describing it as a “huge deal that I’m partnering with Proactiv.”
But Twitter and Instagram followers don’t see it that way.
