Shiloh Jolie Pitt: ‘She only wants to be called John’

In 2008, Pitt famously told Oprah Winfrey that Shiloh “only wants to be called John,” noted E News.

Amber Rose subsequently shared an Instagram post showing the then-8-year-old child at the Unbroken premiere for Jolie.

“How gorgeous is John Jolie Pitt?! Born into the perfect family for him. #TransKids #LoveurKidsNoMatterWhat#Support,” wrote Rose.

But as followers were quick to point out to Rose, neither Pitt nor Jolie referred to Shiloh as a “transkid,” as Amber wrote.

Brad said only that the family, when Shiloh was 2-years-old, was going through a “thing” where they had to “call her John.”

And as an example, he said he would start a sentence, “Shi, do you want…,” ‘to which his youngster would respond, “John. I’m John.”

Pitt clearly accepted that “”She only wants to be called John. John or Peter” at the time.

Shiloh Jolie Pitt: ‘She likes to dress like a boy’

Several years later, Jolie talked about the fact that Shiloh has “Montenegro style.”

As to what that means? Angelina explained that Shiloh “likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits. So it’s a suit with a tie and a jacket and slacks, or a tracksuit.”

And red carpet appearances show Shiloh dressed according to those preferences.

Accepting of those preferences, Jolie clarified how she and Pitt allowed Shiloh to choose.

"She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers."

And contrary to reports that Brad and Angelina are fighting over those preferences, Gossip Cop reported that Pitt and Jolie love Shiloh unconditionally and are not battling over clothing choices.

What does the future hold for Shiloh Jolie Pitt?

Ultimately, pointed out the Advocate, Brad and Angelina have shown that they accept and even “embrace” their child’s desire to be independent and self-directed about style.

As psychologist Linda Blair noted, “to explore what it means to be both genders is also totally normal…You can’t become what you are until you know what you’re not.”

In a recent public appearance of all six kids, they all look grown-up and gorgeous, from the oldest Maddox and Pax to Zahara to the three biological kids, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne Jolie Pitt.

Earlier this year, Angelina took them all to a screening for The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, reported the Huff Post.
