Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick: A look back and how they are moving forward for the kids

We have all witnessed the good times and the bad of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick. When we look at where they are today, we’re glad they are in a good place, especially for the kids.

The two are successfully co-parenting their three cuties, Mason, Penelope and Reign. It seems time has worked well for Kourtney and Scott, whose love affair that started back in 2006, wasn’t always rainbows and unicorns.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane.

Three years into the relationship, the two would split and then get back together and then split and then get back together.  It was a tumultuous relationship that both parties were addicted to.

This was a happier time back in the day.

They would soon welcome their first child, however Scott’s partying lifestyle wasn’t part of the definition of “fatherhood” in Kourtney’s dictionary, and she warned him that he needed to change… or else.

One of my favorite lines ever in KUWTK is when Kourtney says to Scott, ” I can’t do this anymore. I love Mason more than I love you.” A huge moment where she realized this wasn’t a healthy relationship for anyone. We all thought she was done, that is until they welcomed their second child in 2014.

The next  few years were filled with rehab stints, cheating rumors and a third child for Kourtney and Scott. Looks like third times a charm, as she could not longer put up with the fighting, the drugs, the women and well…Scott.

The two parted ways, yet we continued to see Scott on family vacations and hanging with the Kardashian/Jenner crew. It was a new Kourtney and Scott as they were trying to navigate through unchartered waters, co-parenting their three children and figuring out life without each other.

Will Kourtney Kardashian always love Scott Disick?

Scott Disick lost the love of his life and knew he screwed up. I think Kourtney Kardashian and the family will always love Scott, no matter what. Since his own parents died in 2013/2014, Scott was lost and even though he put Kourtney through hell and back, the Kardashians  never turned their back on him.

The two have both moved on, Scott currently dating Sofia Ritchie and Kourtney, now single, had her a relationship with former boxer and model, Younes Bendjima.

If you watch KUWTK today, Scott is very much intertwined with the family, which is a good thing for the kids. He has calmed down, matured and gotten a handle on his issues. Scott and Khloe are BFF and are always hanging around. So much so, there were rumors the two were an item.

It’s nice to see parents who are no longer together, get  it together for the kids. They know that their relationship is a toxic one, but recognize the importance of having each other in their lives and their kid’s lives.

Scott recently celebrated his 36th birthday with his new love, Sofia, and his old love, (who he will always love), without drama. No one avoided anyone, there was no awkwardness and have all come a long way.

“Having Sofia and Kourtney together celebrating him and getting along was the best gift Scott could have asked for,” a source told Hollywood Life.

Awwww. Kourtney and Scott are all ‘growns’ up. We have seen their entire relationship play out on television and there were some scary moments to witness. Who knows what the future holds for the two, but hopefully each party can continue co-exist with the other and be the best parents they can be.
