Melania and Donald Trump faced protests in Britain with their Presidential visit, but the White House residents did outdo Meghan Markle in one fashion basic.

Melania and Donald Trump came, saw, and did not fully conquer the United Kingdom in their visit to the Queen, Kate Middleton, and Prince William.

But even as protesters in the United Kingdom held their signboards high, royal watchers did notice that the First Lady and Trump succeeded in achieving one very British style basic.

And in doing so, Melania and Donald outdid Meghan Markle (sorry, Duchess).

As the Trump parade wound their way through England, political pundits analyzed every Presidential footstep.

And on their last day in Great Britain, Melania and Donald contemplated that British essential, the hat.

However, as Vanity Fair pointed out, the Trump choices raised some eyebrows.

Melania chose a hat that earned comparison to flying saucers, while Donald received the opportunity to emulate Winston Churchill.

However, in all fairness, that bowler hat was a gift from Piers Morgan rather than a choice made by Trump.

Melania Trump versus Meghan Markle: It’s clear who wore it better

Now we love Meghan Markle, but analyzing Meghan versus Melania, the winner of the hat parade is clear.

Mrs. Trump chose a simple white hat, designed to perfectly match her white crepe dress with its navy touches.

As for Meghan Markle, never will we forgot (much as we wish we could) her infamous choice of a hat that looked exactly like the poop emoji.

Twitter loved it…but not in a good way.

Ultimately, as the Daily Mail pointed out, although Meghan looked stylish in every other way at her very first royal Christmas service with Prince Harry, her hat was a fashion faux pas.

Also compared by some to a bowl of chocolate pudding with a twist on top, the hat simply did not do Markle justice.
