Did Kylie Jenner’s Assistant Ditch Her To Become An Influencer?
By Alia
Being in Kylie Jenner’s inner circle can do wonder’s for someone’s career — just ask Jordyn Woods — but for Kylie’s assistant, living in her shadow wasn’t enough for her. Or was it?
Last week, US Weekly reported that Kylie Jenner’s long-time assistant and friend, Victoria Villarroel, had quit her job to pursue her dreams of becoming an influencer. A source, who spoke to the publication, stated that “Victoria wants to be an influencer in her own right and is focusing on that now.”
If true, the 950,000 Instagram followers she’s accrued over the past five years, would make it very easy for her to branch off on her own. Except, now we know that the report wasn’t exactly true.
Per Victoria’s own Instagram story admission, she’s not betraying Kylie to cash in on her Insta-fame. She’s simply outgrown being a personal assistant and wants to expand her horizons.
"“This story is false,” Victoria wrote. “I worked with Kylie for five years and she became one of my best friends. We both decided it was time to grow without each other professionally about a year ago!” On whether or not she and Kylie or cool, she had this to say: “She’s still one of my best friends and our relationship has only gotten stronger.”"

While that all sounds nice, some still wondered whether or not Victoria’s statement was damage control. The Kardashians/Jenner’s are backed by a powerful PR machine that is great at keeping scuttlebutt out of the news–at least until it benefits them.
Fortunately, the photo Victoria posted of herself, Kylie, and a third friend during a night out on the town, a week later, proved that they’re indeed good.
Ahh, all’s well that ends well! We look forward to seeing who steps into the assistant role next. Would you take the job?
