The 2020 Oscars took place last night, and it was definitely a night to remember!

Whether you tuned in to the awards show or not, you definitely heard about it. The 2020 Oscars took place last night in Los Angeles, California and it was definitely a ceremony worth remembering.

The red carpet event began hours prior to the Oscars officially starting, and we gotta say, the red carpet is definitely one of our fav moments. While it’s not always easy to narrow down some of our best dressed, we do have a few that stand out.

When it comes to stealing the show, we have to give it to none other than Natalie Portman and her stunning black and gold Dior gown! In addition to looking stunning, Portman also made a statement by having the names of the countless women behind some of the greatest films stitched into her dress.

Regina King also crushed the red carpet in her stunning pink Versace gown that hugged her in all the right places! And we certainly cannot forget about Janelle Monae’s Ralph Lauren moment where she single-handedly took all of our breaths away.

In addition to the countless beautiful gowns and dresses, the awards saw a lot of firsts, including Brad Pitt’s first time, winning for Best Supporting Actor in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and of course, the big winner of the night, Parasite, who took home a total of four Oscars, including Best Picture.

What was so incredible about Parasite was the fact that it was the first-ever non-English film to win the category, and we were just as elated as the film’s director, Bong Joon-Ho. The South Korean genius also took home Best Director, and rightfully so!

Other monumental moments during the show was Laura Dern’s win for Best Supporting Actress, and of course, Renee Zellweger taking home Best Actress for her role in Judy.

While we want to say we were surprised that Joaquin Phoenix took home Best Actor for Joker, we were certainly not surprised. His performance was absolutely outstanding, and he without a doubt deserved the Oscar.

The Oscars are always a fun time, and now that the awards season has come and gone, we are now very much looking forward to what 2020 has in store for us!
