Through her shapewear brand SKIMS, Kim Kardashian is stepping up to help families affected by COVID-19 with a donation of $1 million to families in need.

After taking a firm stance as a strong advocate for social distancing efforts, Kim Kardashian is doing her part to help those affected by COVID-19 in the form of a $1 million donation organized through her shapewear line, SKIMS.

The fashion and beauty mogul is the latest celebrity to help with relief efforts among the current coronavirus pandemic, joining sister Kylie Jenner in making an effort to support those hit hardest by the current environment.

In recent weeks, Kim Kardashian has been practicing social distancing in efforts to flatten the curve and prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Kim has routinely used social media to encourage followers to do the same, reminding them of the benefits the practice has.

Now the mom of four is taking her efforts to the next level with some help from her shapewear company SKIMS.

As revealed by Kim via her official social media platforms, SKIMS will be donating $1 million to help “mothers and children during this time of need.”

In addition to pledging $1 million to help those affected by COVID-19, Kim revealed that a restock of the company’s debut collection will be released on Monday, March 30 with a portion of all purchases being donated to Baby2Baby’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Program.

Kylie Jenner donates $1 million to health care workers

Kim Kardashian’s donation comes just days after news broke of a silent donation sister Kylie Jenner had made a $1 million donation to help health care workers.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder donated $1 million to relief efforts to help provide those working to treat patients with essential products including face masks, face shields and other protective gear used by those in the medical field helping in the fighter against COVID-19.

Following Kylie’s donation, Dr. Thais Alaibadi, who first broke the news of Kylie’s sizable donation, expressed her heartfelt gratitude via a statement made on Instagram:

"“I am speechless, my eyes are filled with tears of joy and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. I made a wish to the Universe to gather protective masks for our brave healthcare workers and today my dream came true,” Dr. Alaibadi wrote. “From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU [Kylie Jenner]. You are my hero. This generous donation will help save many precious lives. Our world is a better place with you in it. I love you so much.”"
