As a precautionary measure, the Justin Bieber Changes tour has been postponed with a promise of new dates to be announced soon as Beiber reminds fans health and safety comes first.

The Justin Bieber Changes tour has become the latest entertainment event postponed as a precautionary means in relation to the coronavirus crisis of 2020.

While the “Yummy” and “Intentions” singer was originally expected to embark on his first tour in roughly three years, the dates for the tour have since been delayed, though Bieber and his team remain optimistic in setting new dates sooner, rather than later.

Justin Bieber Changes tour postponed, new dates forthcoming

As first reported by Variety, the Justin Bieber Changes tour has become the latest high-profile Hollywood event to be directly impacted by the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Originally expected to begin May 14 at Seattle’s CenturyLink Field, the 45-date tour has been put on hold like many other entertainment events. While there is no current timeline for when the new dates will be set, Bieber and his team are prepared to honor fans’ current tickets once new dates are scheduled.

Check out the formal statement released to Variety regarding the Changes tour postponement below:

"“In light of the current public health crisis, and with the deepest concern for all those being affected, Justin Bieber will be postponing all currently scheduled 2020 dates for The Changes Tour. While Justin — along with his band, dancers and crew — has been hard at work preparing an amazing show, he has always put the health and well-being of his fans first and foremost. Justin is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to get back out on the road and perform in a space that is safe for everyone. He asks that fans hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored as soon as the dates are rescheduled. Information on rescheduled dates will be forthcoming soon.”"

Justin Bieber reacts to Changes tour postponement

Shortly after Variety first reported the postponement of the Justin Bieber Changes tour, Bieber took to Twitter in sharing his initial reaction to the news.

As Bieber reminded Beliebers currently feeling and expressing disappointment in the decision to postpone the Changes tour, the health and safety of everyone is the most important thing at the time. The “Yummy” singer went on to ensure fans that we’ll “figure this out together.”

In concluding his statement, Bieber revealed that he and his team worked to hold the dates for as long as they possibly could before finally promising fans he was looking forward to seeing everyone in concert as soon as possible.

At this time, there is no timeline for when updates might be made available or when the tour might instead begin. Given the current climate, it’s likely the tour will be delayed until at least late summer.
