Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered its first official episode without Kourtney Kardashian. Was watching the reality series the same?

Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 18, episode 3, “Date My Daughter,” is historic! It is the first episode that officially marks Kourtney’s departure from the series. How did you feel watching the reality series? Was Kourtney Kardashian’s absence obvious? Was watching the show the same?

Personally, and according to many tweets during the “Date My Daughter” episode, Kourtney is definitely missed. Her absence is like the elephant in the room and, dare I say, despite some fun moments in the latest episode, it wasn’t as fun!

Is Keeping Up with the Kardashians the same without Kourtney Kardashian?

For several episodes now, audiences have watched as Kourtney slowly grew apart from her sisters Kim and Khloe. The vibe completely changed the first time Kim and Khloe try to confront Kourtney about this.

In the season 18 premiere, Kourtney Kardashian explains that, for years, it was her and Khloe against Kim. The duo would poke fun at Kim, tease her, and even prank her. But now, Kourtney feels alone as it seems Khloe is always on Kim’s side. I can imagine how that has been upsetting Kourtney, on top of other more personal issues she has been struggling with.

The world watched as Kourtney reached her breaking point in the first and second part of the season 18 premiere. This is when Kourtney decided to take a huge step back from filming. It is understood that she will now only be making brief appearances that we expect will be few and far between.

Instead, at least based on season 18, episode 3, it looks like we’ll be seeing more of Kendall and Malika to fill in the gaps. This is very telling as it takes more than one person to replace Kourtney’s appearances.
