Between the move to Thursdays and Kourtney Kardashian’s departure, is Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK) coming to an end or has the series been renewed for season 19?
From the moment it was announced season 18 of E! Network’s long-running reality series would be moving from Sunday nights — a night it occupied since its original debut — to Thursday nights, rumors have been running rampant that the move is a sign of the show’s looming demise. While scheduling changes are not uncommon for networks, it’s typically not a good sign when a long-running series is shifted from its perch and moved to a new night 18 seasons into its run.
It also doesn’t help that KUWTK season 18 has also brought with it the show’s most controversial departure to-date in the form of Kourtney Kardashian’s decision to step back from her role on the series.
The two major changes for the show have led many to question whether the end is near. So is it time to become concerned about the future of KUWTK or should fans put their concerns to bed?
Is KUWTK coming to an end or has KUWTK been renewed for season 19
Although there have been many changes connected to the show’s current eighteenth season, there does not currently seem to be an end in sight for the reality series just yet.
While no official statement has been released by E! just yet announcing KUWTK season 19, momager Kris Jenner has confirmed season 19 is currently in development at the network during a recent appearance on The Ellen Show.
During her appearance, Kris revealed the family was about to start filming for their nineteenth season commenting about their love of filming and the opportunities it gives the busy family to spend time together. As Kris noted, “We actually all really enjoy doing the show because we get to be together all day.”

Given the current production shutdowns, it remains uncertain how season 19 might be affected or what changes E! might make when approaching the season.
However, fans can breathe a sigh of relief in knowing season 19 is in the works and will keep the Kardashian family around for at least one more season on E! — though we have a feeling there will be many more seasons still to come beyond a nineteenth season.
Do you think KUWTK has run its course and could be in danger of cancellation or are you hopeful the long-running series will continue for years to come?
