About a Boy is known as the film that forever cemented Hugh Grant’s status as a king of the rom-con genre. It turns out though, the role was originally offered to Brad Pitt who turned it down for the most bizarre of reasons.

As the story goes, Pitt was approached about the lead role for the film but ultimately chose to pass because he felt the film’s premise was a bit too farfetched.
