Big Little Lies star Laura Dern is shaking up our morning with the news that she has just tried tequila for the first time in her life. Needless to say, we have questions!
We all know and love Laura Dern. She’s an icon and actress extraordinaire! Dern’s talent is immense and she can get us crying, cheering, or laughing in any role she tackles, but who would have ever guessed she had never tasted a sip of tequila?
We gotta say, this reminds us of the time Kylie Jenner claimed to have had cereal for the first time ever just last year.
Actress Laura Dern tries tequila for the first time in her life
The report comes from US Magazine, which shares that Laura Dern is “expanding her horizons,” but we beg to differ. Tequila is a drink everyone must try at least once in their life, and we are shocked it took Dern so long to sample this tasty beverage.
We don’t want to be too harsh on Dern, though! To each their own! In fact, staying away from alcohol never did anyone wrong. To her defense, Dern says she has been too scared to try it. Hey, can we blame her?
Dern shared this about herself while video chatting with friend and Big Little Lies co-star Reese Witherspoon earlier this week. In the conversation, Witherspoon shared her favorite cocktail, to which Dern said she only “pretty much drinks wine.”
Dern follows up with, “that’s it, my whole life. I’ve never had a cocktail, guys.” Wow! She has been missing out on some fun and refreshing flavors! There’s no better time than quarantine to sample some drinks!
The Marriage Story star did share that, after trying tequila, she thinks it is as “wonderful” as everyone has said it is and admits she has been missing out.
