During her life, Meghan Markle has crossed paths with many individuals from all walks of life. Among those who share an unexpected connection with the Duchess of Sussex is Shahs of Sunset star Nema Vand, who knew Meghan during her high school years.

Appearing recently on the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast, Vand revealed that he and Meghan attended sister schools back in the day and were friends for some time during their high school years. Discussing the Duchess of Sussex, Vand recalled Meghan as being a “woman among girls” who was sweet and always kind.

While Vand noted she was a good friend who many admired, that didn’t stop him from spilling some major tea in revealing she once toyed with his emotions. Describing a former encounter at a party Vand noted:

"“We were at a party one time and she sat on my lap. She got nose to nose with me. For a 16-year-old guy, that is an emotional moment. She said to me in Farsi, ‘You are so beautiful.’ I asked her, ‘How do you know Farsi?’ She said, ‘I learned it for you.’ Then she walked away.”"

Talk about not holding back on dishing the dirt!

According to Vand, Meghan was known to have some fun in flirting such as how she toyed with Vand during the encounter described above. As revealed by the Shahs of Sunset star, “She knew what she was doing. She toyed with our hearts masterfully.”

While the gossip is juicy and sure to create buzz, a high school girl flirting with guys and toying with their hearts is far from rare — and high school boys are known to do the same. Flirting is part of the fun of dating as a youth and, if anything, it just proves Meghan was no different than other girls her age at the time.
