Kim Kardashian is still a brunette, hasn’t yet returned to being a blonde.

Just when we thought Kim Kardashian had decided to return to her roots, she pulls a fakeout on us and reveals she hasn’t quite ditched her natural color just yet.

Over the weekend, Kim set the internet ablaze when she took to Instagram to perform a makeup tutorial showcasing some of the many makeup offerings offered by KKW Cosmetics. In the Instagram tutorial, Kim shocked fans by debuting a drastically different look showcasing a new bleach blonde style fans haven’t seen Kim rock in years.

It didn’t take long for the internet to explode as news outlets and fans alike reacted to Kim’s bleach blonde look; however, it turns out Kim actually faked everyone out with her tutorial.

Taking to social media the day after the makeup tutorial video went viral, Kim revealed she is still very much a brunette. As she revealed, the bleached blonde look showcased during her makeup tutorial was achieved with help from a wig.

Although Kim remains a brunette at this moment, she’s been very vocal in expressing her desire to shake up her look once social distancing regulations lift. In a March post, Kim revealed to her followers that she was seriously considering going blonde once again writing, “My hair is gonna be so healthy after this quarantined time. Contemplating dying it blonde when we can have human interaction again.”

It’s possible Kim’s blonde wig could have been her way of testing the waters and seeing what fans’ reactions would be to a blonde style. Given how quickly the internet picked up the story, it seems fans are more than ready to see Kim revisit her time as a blonde!
