Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special pokes fun at the Kardashians.
When it comes to poking fun at pop culture figures and moments, no show does it quite like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The series has managed to poke fun at some of Hollywood’s biggest stars during its run and it seems the Kardashians are the latest the show has taken a jab at.
More than a year after wrapping its acclaimed four-season run, Netflix’s Emmy-nominated comedy returned to the service this spring with a new interactive special that saw Kimmy and her pals return for one last unforgettable adventure.
Like during its original run, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend had fun making jokes at the expense of several celebrities including everyone from Mark Wahlberg to the Kardashians.

Warning: Mild Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend spoilers ahead.
It all begins when Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) sets out on an unforgettable adventure in hopes of finding the owner of a mysterious book she discovers in her backpack while getting ready for her wedding day.
Seeking out to question the Reverend (Jon Hamm) and solve the case with help from her pal Titus (Tituss Burgess) — you can also select for Kimmy to be joined by pal Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski), however, it’s in the Titus path which features the joke poking fun at the Kardashians.
In the scene, Titus and Kimmy are presented with the option of waiting 4,000 minutes for an Uber or walking to the nearest town. Upon selecting the option to walk to the nearest town, Titus becomes irate with Kimmy’s urge to walk to town noting that the shoes he’s wearing were custom made by Kanye West for hiding upstairs while they tape the Kardashians not for walking. Savage!
While some might take offense to the throwaway joke, the joke made us chuckle as it’s true that Kanye doesn’t exactly keep an active presence on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
We can just imagine Kanye hiding upstairs out of view from the KUWTK cameras and love that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s writers poked a bit of fun about Kanye’s desire to “hide” from cameras during filming.
You can catch all four seasons of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt as well as the show’s interactive special now on Netflix.
