Kourtney Kardashian urges parents to have a talk with children about race and Black Lives Matter

The Kardashian-Jenner clan has been incredibly supportive during these times, backing Black Lives Matter and sharing the many ways others can help. Kourtney Kardashian has even called on parents to have conversations with kids about these topics.

If you are a parent, you understand these chats aren’t easy or desirable to have. You also likely agree that you wish kids didn’t have to worry about these things at all. However, if we’re going to raise amazing humans, we have to share with them these hard-hitting topics.

In Kourtney’s message, which we’ll share below, she’s calling on all parents, but particularly white parents and those with white children, to educate themselves and the kids about privilege.

We agree with Kourtney’s words and believe it’s important to pass on these lessons and stories to these kids who will one day run the world.

Kourtney Kardashian hopes parents educate their children on privilege

The Poosh founder writes that despite wanting to protect her children from what could make them feel sad, these “uncomfortable” conversations are necessary. It’s important to discuss Black History with them as it is our responsibility.

Kourtney also adds “I encourage other mothers to join me in using this as a learning lesson for our children.” For her full message and tips on how to even begin these conversations, visit Poosh.

I love and appreciate Kourtney’s message so much! But what I love most is that Kourtney isn’t only sharing a copy/paste message for attention, it’s heartfelt and she even shares with readers some great books to read to our children about the topic.

Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian have also been very vocal about this matter. We love how they are using their platform for a great cause.

What have you done to support the cause and encourage change?
