Kanye West and Kim Kardashian could soon be competitors in the beauty industry

In an unexpected twist, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West could find themselves in competition within the beauty industry!

According to a new report from TMZ, Kanye has filed for a Yeezy brand trademark designed to cover a variety of both beauty and skincare products. As TMZ notes, the trademark submission is the first step in Kanye expanding his Yeezy’s brand with health and beauty offerings including makeup, facial masks, nail polish, body oils, hair care products, perfume, and hygienic products — in other words, Kayne is looking to go big and leave no rock unturned.

Should the trademarks be approved, the door would be open for Yeezy to enter the competitive health and beauty world. It would also happen to put the brand, as well as Kanye, in direct competition with Kim’s KKW Beauty brand as well as Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics.

Needless to say, Yeezy is a successful brand and has played a significant role in helping Kayne to secure his status as one of the world’s few billionaires. Kanye might be known for his music, but he’s built quite the business empire and found success when many doubted him.

Although it’s easy to question just how much Kanye knows about the beauty industry, when he has his mind set on something he goes all-in and would undoubtedly assemble quite the team to help with the brand’s venture into the beauty world.

While we’re certain he’d find success with the launch of a Yeezy beauty line, we’re certain KKW Beauty and Kylie Skin will continue to do just fine on their own. After all, the two brands have already established themselves within the beauty world and do just fine when competing with the other countless beauty brands out there.

Plus, can you imagine the excitement Kimye fans would have when Yeezy and KKW Beauty collaborate on a line, which seems almost certain to happen at some point — thus allowing Kim and Kanye to add yet another notch to their power couple belt!
