Jameela Jamil says her work is done and will no longer call out Kim Kardashian

Actress Jameela Jamil is best known for her work on The Good Place, but she’s also rather popular for calling out Kim Kardashian and her sisters. But now, Jamil says her “work is done” in a recent Instagram post.

Before, Jamil was quick to call out Kim, the other women in the Kardashian-Jenner family, and just about anyone and everyone who tried to promote “impossible” beauty standards and dangerous products. We’re talking “diet” teas, waist trainers, and everything in between.

Jamil instead encourages and promotes healthy bodies and is all about body positivity. The actress wants women (and men) to love and appreciate themselves and not try to be like anyone else, especially the Kardashians.

It’s a great message! And, Jamil shares that her job is done and she’ll no longer call out Kim Kardashian. Here’s why.

Jameela Jamil’s goal was to empower her followers

According to Jamil, her fans already recognize Kim’s “bulls*** expectation of women,” which was her main goal.

The actress explains in a lengthy post, in which she attached a screenshot of Kim Kardashian in a tight nude corset, that she received well over one thousand DMs from her followers asking Jamil to address the problematic photo of Kim.

Jamil writes, “the fact that you’re all messaging me about it, shows my work is done.”

The Good Place star continues to share that her mission was never to “cancel Kim K.” but to arm women with the knowledge to recognize for themselves that these expectations are not realistic.

"“If YOU know that it’s problematic, reductive and irresponsible for her to perpetrate such a heavily impossible beauty standard to her impressionable fans…you don’t need me,” Jamil goes on."

Jamil finishes her post by telling her followers to block, mute, or delete anyone who supports these views and methods. She suggests that we instead follow activists, writers, artists, and comedians. In short, people that make us happy and get us feeling inspired.
