On June 27, Khloe Kardashian celebrated her 36th birthday. While Khloe decided to limit her birthday celebration to family and close friends, in typical Kardashian form, she still went all out with her birthday festivities.

Khloe’s pink-themed birthday extravaganza was complete with elegant decor, decadent desserts, and plenty of Khloe-themed items including face masks with her face on them, body-shaped pillows of Khloe, and a bounce house inspired by her likeness. Even more stunning was the birthday girl herself.

Debuting a new brown hairstyle, Khloe stunned in a $2,500 fitted dress adorned in more than 3,000 crystals designed by Yousef Al-Jasmi. Although Khloe looked incredible in the custom dress, it was the over-sized diamond ring seen pictured on her ring finger that managed to steal the show and has created much speculation.

The flashy ring quickly managed to catch the eye of many followers, including long-time Kardashian family friend Jonathan Cheban. “Does that [ring] come with [shades?] Blinded by the light,” Cheban wrote clearly mesmerized by the flashy diamond Khloe showed off with her subtle pose.

Is Khloe Kardashian engaged to Tristan Thompson?

After Khloe posted the image flashing the sizable ring, fans were quick to begin speculating as to whether Khloe had secretly engaged her ex, Tristan Thompson.

It’s a valid speculation to make, as Khloe and Tristan are reported to have been spending more time together in recent months. The extra one-on-one time has given them the chance to patch things up and the two are said to be in a really great place, but have they decided to take their relationship to the next step?

Although signs might seem to point to Khloe and Tristan being engaged, E! News reports Khloe and Tristan have not gotten engaged despite the rumors circulating which might suggest otherwise. So where exactly does the couple stand?

As mentioned above, in spending more time with one another in recent months while self-isolating and co-parenting together, Khloe and Tristan have gotten to a really good place. While Tristan is said to have worked to prove his commitment and make some needed changes to help improve his relationship with Khloe, Khloe still has her reservations and is taking things slow.

With the NBA season expected to resume soon, Khloe is rumored to be very aware that a return to  action will result in changes. Rather than rushing into things, Khloe is said to “not be getting ahead of herself” and is “enjoying having him around right now and all of the family time they have had together with [daughter] True.”

While Khloe and Tristan might not be engaged at the moment, it’s clear the two continue to care deeply for one another and have an interest in seeing where their relationship goes with time. For now, they’re simply living in the moment and enjoying one another’s companionship.
