Kanye West seems to have set his sights on making a run for the President’s office which means, should he follow through with his declaration to run for President in 2020, Kim Kardashian could very well go from reality star to First Lady.

In celebrating the Fourth of July, Kanye West dropped a major bombshell on his Twitter account by announcing his plans to run for president of the United States. As West stated in announcing his plans to apparently run for office, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.”

Although the bid for the presidency might seem to have come out of the blue, it’s actually not the first time Kanye has expressed an interest in running for office. During the 2015 MTV VMAs, West shocked viewers in announcing his desire to enter the world of politics by running for office in 2020.

Since then, Kanye has casually leaned more into the world of politics meeting with current president Donald Trump to discuss policy; however, the topic of him running for office seemed to have gone cold.

Everyone might be focused on the possibility of Kanye becoming the next President of the United States, but the fact of the matter is should he succeed in his bid for office Kim Kardashian would go from reality TV star to First Lady.

Although Kim does not have a background in politics, in recent years she’s found a new career path and has made it her mission to help for criminal justice reform in the United States. Using her platform, Kim has fought to shine a light on the problems in the current justice system and become an advocate for those wrongly imprisoned.

Should Kim Kardashian be forced to step into the shoes of the First Lady, we imagine she’d use the new platform to further her fight for justice. We also imagine she’d become one of the most talked-about and fashionable First Ladies in U.S. history — as well as one of the nation’s most unconventional First Ladies.

While it’s too soon to tell whether Kanye will follow through on his promise or whether he might be able to give President Trump or Joe Biden a run for their money, Kim Kardashian seems to be fully behind her husband’s dreams.
