Twitter blames ‘Kardashian curse’ after Tory Lanez gets arrested and Megan Thee Stallion is hospitalized
Fans of Kylie Jenner were all a bit confused this past weekend to see that she was hanging out at what appeared to be a pool party alongside rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez. While the makeup mogul definitely has her fair share of celebrity friends, we had never heard of these three being close. And when you add in the fact that Megan is actually good friends with Kylie’s ex best friend, Jordyn Woods, the situation gets even weirder.
Well, somehow things have gone from confusing to straight-up freaky, because that age-old “Kardashian curse” is now involved.

Just as people were starting to get over the fact that Kylie was hanging with the two artists, it was reported by TMZ that Tory Lanez was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning after police were called to a home in Hollywood Hills about an incident in which shots were fired. After allegedly finding a concealed weapon in Tory’s car, he was booked and charged. For Megan’s part, police took her to the hospital for a foot injury, as she had reportedly cut herself on glass in Tory’s car. Strange string of events, right?
What is the Kardashian Curse?
Of course, Twitter is now having a field day with the fact that these unfortunate happenings went on right after the pair hung out with Kylie, and people are bringing up the “Kardashian curse.” If you’re unfamiliar, this is basically the idea that whenever someone is involved with the Kardashian-Jenner family—whether it be romantically or just as friends—bad things start happening to them. This all started when the ladies would date NBA players, such as Kris Humphries and Lamar Odom, and they would perform badly at their games.
Kylie has even spoken out about the “Kardashian curse” in the past, but that hasn’t stopped Twitter from weighing in. “Lmfao not Megan and Tory getting arrested after hanging out with Kylie. That Kardashian curse something serious,” one person tweeted, while another wrote, “Tory been [having] a great 2020 & he gets arrested days after [chilling with] Kylie? Don’t ever tell me the Kardashian curse ain’t real.” These are just a few examples of all the chatter online.

Fans of the Kardashian-Jenner family would argue that there’s no such thing as the “Kardashian curse,” but the people of Twitter are certainly convinced.
