Kris Jenner censoring KUTWK to hide Kanye West and Kim Kardashian relationship drama
Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans hoping to get a front-row seat to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s personal relationship drama might be disappointed to know the upcoming episode will not address the ongoing drama. At least so long as Kris Jenner continues to have her say.
In recent weeks, Kim and Kanye have been in the headlines due to ongoing relationship troubles that all began when Kanye revealed intimate details about his and Kim’s daughter, North. In the days that followed, Kanye went on a Twitter tirade in which he put Kim and Kris on blast and leaving the future of their relationship in limbo.
With filming underway on the upcoming episodes of KUWTK, it would seem to be a safe assumption that Kim and Kanye’s relationship would become a top focus this season; however, that’s far from the case.
According to a new report from In Touch Weekly:
"“While Kris isn’t happy with how Kanye’s recent outbursts are affecting the family, she did protect him from looking bad on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.“"
As an insider indicates, despite Kanye calling her out publically — leading to speculation that Kris and Kanye’s relationship isn’t the strongest — Kris has played a key role in helping to make sure certain footage is not featured on the show.
Kris Jenner cares more about protecting her family than KUWTK ratings
It goes without saying that Kris Jenner knows she has a potential golden goose on her hands and that including unfiltered footage of Kanye’s rants/Kim’s reaction would be ratings gold for KUWTK. However, as the source reports, Kris is more concerned about protecting her family than she is about what the drama could do for the show’s ratings.
"“Kris understands the ratings would have been through the roof if they had included some of Kanye’s rants and wild pronouncements in the final cut, but in the end, she didn’t let them,” the the source revealed to In Touch Weekly. “There’s no doubt that Kris is about generating buzz and getting the most ratings possible, but the bottom line is that she wouldn’t hurt Kim or the family brand.”"

Honestly, while there is a natural curiosity to know what might have unfolded between Kim, Kanye and the Kardashian family behind closed doors, Kris Jenner has indeed made the correct call. Sure, the Kardashian-Jenner family knows what they signed up for in opening their lives and homes for the show, but there are certain aspects that should remain private.
There’s still a chance the relationship drama could be addressed in a limited way, Kris is definitely making the right call in avoiding the use of certain footage.
Do you think Kris Jenner is making the right call in censoring the upcoming episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in order to protect Kanye and Kim? Is part of you disappointed to learn KUWTK won’t include Kanye and Kim’s relationship drama — or at least not the entire, uncut story?
