While a new season of The Bachelorette is currently in production as ABC eyes a fall return for the long-running show, one new rumor suggests it will be Tayshia Adams the Bachelor Nation follows on a quest for love in the upcoming season not Clare Crawley.

That’s right, it’s looking like Clare Crawley might not be the next Bachelorette after all but rather that ABC has brought in Tayshia Adams to replace her as the lead for the upcoming cycle of the reality series.

Speculation first began on Friday, July 31 when a prominent Bachelor spoiler account admin took to Reddit to report that trouble behind the scenes has led ABC to part ways with Clare and bring in Tayshia as her replacement. According to the source, “production is having a lot of problems with Clare during filming” which has led them to ultimately part ways with Clare by recasting her with Tayshia.

As the source continues, “Tayshia is already quarantining at the hotel [where the season is filming] and they should be taking her phone today. The plan is for her to call back some of the guys that have already been eliminated.”

On the heels of the Reddit rumor, Life and Style published a similar story which seems to support the initial report that ABC is planning on replacing Clare with Tayshia. Then came the news that the producers were calling upon some of the men who had been vetted for Clare’s season, who were ultimately passed over — which further supports the Reddit source’s claim that ABC would be calling back eliminated guys.

At this point, it’s hard to predict how likely it is that Tayshia Adams will replace Clare Crawley as the Bachelorette; however, the odds definitely seem to be in Tayshia’s favor.

While, at this point, there has been no official word from ABC, all signs seem to point toward Tayshia replacing Clare during the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. As noted above, additional reports continue to support the initial rumor and even Bachelor Nation spoiler guru Reality Steve seems to be buying into the rumor:

Who is Tayshia Adams?

Tayshia Adams first joined the Bachelor Nation during Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor (Season 23) where she quickly won over not just Colton, but America. She was eventually eliminated in the final three, going home one week shy of the finale.

Later that year, Tayshia made her triumphant return as part of the season 6 cast of Bachelor in Paradise. During the season, Tayshia quickly fell for John Paul Jones. While they split on the show, they would later reconcile only to part ways for good in fall 2019. As of 2020, Tayshia is said to be single making her the perfect candidate to step in for Clare.
