Kim Kardashin really wants fans to watch The Promise on Netflix

The Promise is now streaming on Netflix and Kim Kardashian is vocally encouraging fans to watch it

Have you binged your way through your Netflix queue, leaving you left looking for your next movie night selection? No worries, Kim Kardashian is here to save the day.

From the start of quarantine, Kim has been doling out recommendations for films and series to her millions of followers such as Tiger King — which quickly became a favorite in Kim’s household. While in recent weeks Kim has had more pressing things to focus her attention on, her passion for movie recommendations has been reignited by a film she’s long been a vocal supporter of.

We’re, of course, referring to the 2016 film The Promise which Kim has supported since it first started making waves years ago. Although the film is now a few years old, it’s recently dropped on Netflix which inspired Kim to encourage her 66+ million followers to check out the film:

What is The Promise on Netflix about?

As Kim Kardashian noted in her tweet encouraging fans to give The Promise a try now that it’s streaming on Netflix, the film was inspired by the Armenian Genocide and is set during the early 1900s at the Ottoman Empire was preparing to enter World War I.

At the center of the film are Mikael (Oscar Isaac), an Armenian medical student; Chris (Christian Bale), an American journalist; and Ana (Charlotte Le Bon), an artist. The three characters find themselves drawn together via an unexpected love triangle with a harrowing turn to the story.

Between Kim’s vote of support and the film’s all-star cast, The Promise is a great watch for those looking for a unique film with a powerful message.
