Caitlyn Jenner fails to wish Kylie Jenner happy birthday

On Aug. 10, Caitlyn Jenner’s youngest daughter Kylie Jenner turned 23 and, needless to say, the reality star turned beauty mogul received an outpouring of birthday wishes from her family and friends.

In typical fashion, each of Kylie’s sisters took to either Instagram or Twitter to celebrate their little sister with some sweet messages and adorable throwback photos.

“I can’t believe you are 23 years old!!!” Kim wrote in a Twitter post. “The funniest and most loyal person on the planet! Looking for pictures and finding so many funny memories makes me so happy! I love you beyond what you could imagine.”  The sentiment was echoed by Kylie’s sisters Kendall and Kourtney via their Instagram Stories, as each took time to send Kylie some birthday love.

Then there was Khloe Kardashian who wrote a beautiful tribute to her little sis in celebration of her birthday. Between expressing her disbelief over Kylie turning 23 and reminiscing about the memories made, Khloe called being Kylie’s sister one of the greatest blessings life has given her:

"“Being your sister is one of the greatest blessings life has given me. You have a heart of solid gold. You leave everybody better after meeting them. I sincerely thank God every single day for you and the rest of my family! May you continue to be surrounded by blessings, love, happiness, and laughter! I will love you until the end of time! I will happily spend forever proving it “"

Even Kylie’s older brother Rob Kardashian, who doesn’t post to social media all that often, took to his Instagram Stories to wish Kylie happy birthday with a pair of sweet shots celebrating Kylie and her “Jordan year” as Rob noted.

And there was the touching message from Kylie’s mom Kris Jenner who celebrated her youngest child in a set of tweets sharing a few of her favorite photos of Kylie from over the years and a warm birthday wishes.

"“Happy birthday to my beautiful baby girl, my youngest child Kylie Jenner!! Kylie, you never cease to amaze me with everything you do in life. You are the most wonderful daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend and unbelievable Mommy,” Kris wrote. “You are the most thoughtful, generous, considerate, creative, smart, and loving girl and I’m so blessed God chose me to be your Mommy! You have the biggest heart and I’m beyond proud of you!! Happy birthday to the delicious piece of my heart! I love you!!!”"

While Kylie received birthday wishes from her mom and each of her siblings (as well as countless birthday messages from friends and fans), Kylie’s dad Caitlyn Jenner was strangely not among those who took to social media to wish Kylie happy birthday.

In fact, there was no mention of Kylie anywhere to be found on Caitlyn’s social feeds on Aug. 10 which was shocking, to say the least.

Are Caitlyn Jenner and Kylie Jenner feuding?

The fact that Caitlyn Jenner essentially ignored Kylie’s birthday from a public standpoint has led many to speculate as to whether Caitlyn and Kylie are at odds. While Kylie has publicly spoken about having a good relationship with her dad, Caitlyn’s failure to post any form of birthday message does send up plenty of red flags.

Although one could argue that the lack of birthday love from Caitlyn is a result of Caitlyn simply keeping a lower profile on social media than the rest of the family — as we’ve discussed before, Caitlyn’s feed is primarily filled with plugs for lumasol sunscreen — Caitlyn has wished Kylie happy birthday in the past on her Instagram, including both in 2019 and 2018. Could the lack of a birthday post dedicated to Kylie this year be a sign that the two aren’t on the best terms at the moment?

While we’ve seen Caitlyn enjoying time with Kendall Jenner in recent weeks, one has to go back to June 25 to find the last post Caitlyn mentioned Kylie and even that post was more focused on celebrating the launch of Kylie and Kendall’s Kylie Skin collaboration than on Kylie directly.

For now, we can only speculate as to whether Caitlyn and Kylie are feuding as neither party has publicly addressed the relationship. However, Caitlyn’s lack of love for Kylie on her birthday does seem to paint an interesting picture.
