Kim Kardashian still hasn’t gotten use to calling Jonathan Cheban Foodgod

Kim Kardashian still refers to pal Foodgod by former name, Jonathan Cheban
While Jonathan Cheban legally changed his name to Foodgod nearly a year ago, his pal Kim Kardashian still hasn’t adjusted to referring her bestie by his new legal name.
As some background, after years of joking(?) about changing his name to Foodgod, Jonathan finally pulled the trigger in October 2019 when he filed paperwork to legally change his name to the monkier he adopted on social media.
The name is one Jonathan had adopted over the years and was excited to make his legal name telling Page Six at the time, “Everyone calls me Foodgod; scream it in the streets and run up to me in restaurants, and I want people calling me foodgod when they write about me — not Jonathan or ‘BFF.'”
Despite Foodgod’s hope for people to no longer refer to him as Jonathan, his long-time BFF Kim Kardashian seems to still be struggling with her bestie’s name change, though.

Promoting Foodgod’s new Ultimate Truffle Ketchup via her Instagram Stories, Kim offered fans a glimpse at the product and told a sweet story about her brother’s, Rob Kardashian, reaction to its launch. In telling fans about Rob’s excitement of ordering the condiment, Kim kept referring to Foodgod by his former name and not his current one.
"“Okay, so I just got home to The Ultimate Truffle Ketchup by Foodgod,” Kim started. “My brother was so excited when Jonathan launched his truffle ketchup. He ordered three of them online and text me and was like, ‘I just got us Jonathan’s truffle ketchup and we have to try it!'”"
While we understand — well, maybe understand is a stretch, but we get the reason behind the decision — why Jonathan chose to legally change his name to Foodgod, we honestly can’t fault Kim for still calling her long-time bestie Jonathan and not FoodGod.
For one, he’s been a part of her inner circle for years and she has always addressed him as Jonathan. Secondly, it’s not exactly the most traditional name choice and we can understand having a hard time referring to a long-time friend such a unique name such as FoodGod.
