DWTS season 29 celebrity casting rumors include Tiger King, Cheer stars

With Dancing with the Stars season 29 right around the corner, DWTS cast rumors are ramping up. Here’s everything you need to know about the rumored cast!

So far, ABC has confirmed the casting of The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristoweand as well as Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean as the first official members of the season 29 cast. Outside of the pair, ABC has kept the identities of the rest of the cast a mystery ahead of the formal cast reveal on Sept. 2.

While ABC has only confirmed two cast members so far, there are a handful of celebrity names being floated around as possible contestants for the upcoming season.

Of course, the name that seems to be gaining the most momentum is Tiger King star Carol Baskins who ET Online reports is a possible DWTS season 29 contestant. Given the popularity of Tiger King, it would make sense that ABC would want to capitalize on the buzz in landing Baskins.

Another Netflix personality rumored to be competing is Cheer star Jerry Harris. As first reported by Daily Mail, the breakout personality seems to be on ABC’s radar and could very well trade in his cheerleader uniform for some dancing shoes this fall.

In addition to Baskins, ET Online also reports actresses Chrishell Stause and Anne Heche are also in conversation with ABC about competing this season. There are also some whispers that Descendants star Sofia Carson and The Masker Singer runner-up Jesse McCartney could possibly pop up as part of the cast.

Dancing with the Stars season 29 premieres Monday, Sept. 14 at 8/7c on ABC.
