ABC confirms Dancing with the Stars season 29 will not feature any of the Kardashians

The official cast for Dancing with the Stars season 29 has been confirmed by ABC, but are any of the Kardashians among the celebs set to compete this fall?

On Sept. 2, ABC unveiled the names of the 15 celebrities set to compete as part of the Dancing with the Stars season 29 cast live on Good Morning America. As always, the latest DWTS cast was full of familiar names from the world of reality TV; however, unfortunately, none of those names happened to end in Kardashian or Jenner.

That’s right, despite our original hopes that DWTS season 29 could feature one of the Kardashians — which would have marked the first time a Kardashian has competed since 2011 — ABC was once again unable to land a member of the KarJenner clan to compete in the upcoming fall cycle of the long-running competition series.

Dancing with the Stars season 29: What celebrities are competing?

While we might not be able to look forward to seeing any of the Kardashians take to the ballroom this fall, ABC has lined up an impressive cast which should be just as equally fun to root for!

As we mentioned, although none of the Kardashians were tapped to compete, the upcoming season will feature a handful of reality stars including The Bachelorette‘s Kaitlyn BristoweSelling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause, Catfish‘s Nev Schulman, Cheer coach Monica Aldama and the Tiger Queen herself, Tiger King star Carol Baskin.

Of course, no season would be complete without a few athletes as well! This year’s competing athletes include Super Bowl Champion Vernon Davis, NBA superstar Charles Oakley and Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir.

Among this year’s crop of actors aiming to cha cha their way into viewers’ hearts are Anne Heche, Skai Jackson, Justina Machado, Jeannie Mai and Jesse Metcalfe. And tying the cast together are singers AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys and rapper Nelly.

Dancing with the Stars season 29 premieres Monday, Sept. 14 at 8/7c on ABC.
