For the better part of 10 years, Jillian Michaels has been dishing out personalized pieces of fitness advice for all. And after unfortunately contracting COVID-19, the fitness guru is back at it once again, but this time, she’s advising others to think twice before hitting the gym, reports People.
According to Jillian Michaels, she tested positive for the virus because she “let her guard down.”
During an interview to discuss her new at-home workout app, the former Biggest Loser star opened up about her recent experience with coronavirus, telling Fox Business, “If you are afraid of COVID, you should not go to the gym,” adding, “And I actually am a person who let my guard down. I haven’t even spoken about this publicly really, and a very close friend of mine gave me COVID several weeks ago.”
While keeping the name of her “very close friend” to herself, Jillian Michaels did reveal that she feels pretty “fortunate” to have recovered so swiftly, or at all, after coming down with the potentially fatal virus only a few weeks back.
Michaels credits her healthy lifestyle as one of the biggest factors in her speedy recovery and reminds fans, “Not everyone is that lucky as we know.”
As for her latest training advice for fellow fitness enthusiasts, Jillian Michaels says, “All I can tell you is if you are afraid of getting COVID, a public gym is probably a place where you will get it.”
If there was ever a piece of Jillian Michaels’ fitness insight very much worth considering, it’s probably this one.
