Caitlyn Jenner blindsided by KUWTK cancellation: ‘Nobody called me’

Like most, Caitlyn Jenner was blindsided by the cancellation of KUWTK. 

On Sept. 8, Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans had their world turned upside down when the family announced they had come to the decision to officially bring the show to an end with its twentieth season, set to air in 2021.

It was news that no fan expected to hear, but hearing it from the Kardashians themselves helped to ease the blow. After all, hearing from the Kardashians directly rather than through a press release or the media made it feel more personal and less like a standard cancellation.

Considering how thoughtful the Kardashians were in sharing the news with their fans, it might come as a shock to learn that the same level of thoughtfulness was not extended to certain members of the Kardashian family: namely, Caitlyn Jenner.

Nobody told Caitlyn Jenner about KUWTK cancellation

While the Kardashians made a point to be the ones to break the news to their fans, no one in the family thought to reach out to Caitlyn Jenner to make her aware of the decision to end the show.

Speaking with Australia’s The Morning Show via Yahoo, Caitlyn revealed she was blindsided by the decision to end KUWTK as no one from the family thought to call her with the news. “I heard it on the news!” Caitlyn revealed, “Nobody called me, I heard it through the media.” Brutal!

Sure we know Caitlyn hasn’t been a part of the show’s core cast for several seasons now, but given how involved she was during the show’s early seasons one would have thought she would have at least received some sort of courtesy message from someone in the family.

What was Caitlyn Jenner’s reaction to KUWTK cancellation?

So now that we know how Caitlyn learned of the decision to end KUWTK, what was her reaction to the news? As it turns out she was far from surprised!

“Was I surprised? No,” Caitlyn bluntly commented in reacting to news of the show’s looming end. While she was surprised, however, she did note that while she wasn’t surprised by the decision to end the series she did sing the show’s praises in calling it the greatest reality show in history.
