That’s all, folks. After almost three years together, Cardi B and Offset are calling it quits on their marriage, reports Us Weekly. The “WAP” singer is the spouse filing for divorce.

It seems like just yesterday that the passionate couple secretly wed, but the reality is, a lot can change between two people over the span of three years, especially when cheating allegations are a factor.

If you think Cardi B and Offset might kiss and make up tomorrow, think again. In official files obtained by Us Weekly, it’s written that their marriage is “irretrievably broken” and that there’s “no prospects for a reconciliation.”

While it’s not clear what the final straw might’ve been, it’s safe to assume that certain bad behaviors on Offset’s part definitely added a heavy weight to their famously troubled relationship.

In December 2019, Cardi opened up about their relationship to Vogue, revealing:

"When me and my husband got into our issues — you know, he cheated and everything — and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me. But it’s real-life s**t. If you love somebody and you stop being with them, and you’re depressed and social media is telling you not to talk to that person because he cheated, you’re not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation."

More unhappy conversations in court are still to come. As the publication notes, Cardi and Offset have a custody hearing scheduled for November 4, 2020. Reportedly, Cardi B will be seeking primary custody of their two-year-old daughter Kulture, and most likely child support from Offset.

The rapper has also said on more than one occasion that the ups and downs of their marriage couldn’t be summed up (or solved) so easily. However, the pair both said they were willing and ready to do the necessary work. While speaking with Vogue, Cardi quipped:

"People that be in marriages for years, when they say till death do us part, they not talking about little arguments like if you leave the fridge open. That’s including everything."

By November, we’ll surely find out who is walking away with what and if there’s anything left to salvage between Cardi B and Offset. Hopefully, the former flames gradually develop a way to have a smooth relationship as co-parents.

And in one way or another, we’re sure the always outspoken Ms. Cardi will tell us.
