Donald Trump takes cheap shot at Meghan Markle with not so subtle dig

After Meghan Markle & Prince Harry encouraged individuals to register to vote, Donald Trump has taken a cheap shot at Markle with some not so subtle shade.

Despite even her purest of intentions, it seems Meghan Markle cannot catch a break when it comes to winning over certain world leaders.

We’ve all heard the stories about the rift between Meghan and her in-laws over the years, but now it seems Meghan has caught the attention of US President Donald Trump who threw some not so subtle shade Meghan’s way during a new speech.

Speaking with members of the press on Sept. 23, President Trump made it abundantly clear that he’s not a fan of Markle directly stating, “I’m not a fan of hers, and she’s probably heard that.” He, however, did not stop there adding, “Is wish a lot of luck to Harry, ’cause he’s gonna need it.”

So just why is President Donald Trump taking aim at Markle?

During a recent appearance as part of ABC’s Time 100 special, Meghan and Prince Harry dropped in to share support for the year’s Time 100 honorees and to encourage viewers to let their voices be heard by registering to vote. In the message, which aired on National Voter Registration Day, the couple referred to the 2020 election as “the most important election of our lifetime” and  encouraged voters to ” reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity.”

The comments were seen by many as a subtle way by the couple in addressing their disapproval of President Trump. Judging by President Trump’s comments, it seems he too viewed the couple’s comments as an endorsement for his opponent which spurred him to verbally call Markle out in his latest address.

Who will Meghan Markle vote for in 2020?

Although Meghan Markle has not publically revealed who she’ll be voting for in the 2020 election, Meghan and Harry’s comments during their appearance on ABC’s Time 100 special seem to affirm their affirm support for Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
