Meghan Markle willing to give up royal title under one circumstance

As rumor has it, Meghan Markle would be open to giving up her royal title as the Duchess of Sussex under one unique circumstance.

Ever since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped away from their official royal posts, there has been a lot of discussion over whether Meghan and Harry should give up their formal titles.

To some, the feeling is that since the two chose to walk away from their roles as part of the royal family to pursue other ventures they should have to give up their formal titles. Meanwhile, others feel it’s well within their rights to continue to retain the titles bestowed upon them.

There are clear arguments for both sides of the conversation; however, it seems the debate could all be over should Meghan be presented with a very possible opportunity.

According to one of Meghan’s best friends, as reported by Vanity Fair via Page Six, while Meghan doesn’t currently have any plans to give up her royal title as the Duchess of Sussex she would consider giving it up as a trade off for running for political office in the United States.

As the insider revealed, “One of the reasons she was so keen not to give up her American citizenship was so she had the option to go into politics.”

Should Meghan decide to follow through with her aspirations, the assumption is that she would be willing to give up her title in order to run for president.

Will Meghan Markle run for president in 2024?

At this time, Meghan Markle has not formally announced or hinted at any plans to run for office in 2024; however, it seems it’s something that she has seriously considered.

Although her time as part of the royal family came to an abrupt end, during the short time and the times that followed her and Harry’s exit from their royal posts, Meghan has shown strong leadership skills and has a clear pulse on global politics.

Should she choose to run for president in 2024, it seems likely should could have a strong go at things and would likely find support in those who have followed her career throughout the years — seeing first hand the good she’s done with her platform.
