Kim Kardashian labeled tone deaf for promoting 6-figure handbag

Kim Kardashian is under fire from fans for promoting a six-figure Birkin handbag up for sale during a time when so many are struggling financially.
It seems Kim Kardashian could use some help reading the room.
Although the fashion and style mogul is known for creating affordable collections, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t enjoy the finer things in life. While Kim rightfully enjoys spending her well-earned cash on luxury, over-the-top items, the same doesn’t apply to Kim’s millions of followers in the working class.
So when Kim decided to promote a six-figure Birkin bag via Twitter in celebration of National Handbag Day, fans were quick to call Kim out for being “out of touch” and coming off as “tone deaf.”

Spotlighting one of her many favorite handbag suppliers, Jane Finds, Kim tweeted out a photo of two Birkin bags: one valued at $18,995.00 and a second valued at a whopping $159,995.00. Yes, you read that second total correctly that would be $159K for one handbag!
While dropping nearly 160K on a handbag might not be a big deal for an almost-billionaire such as Kim, the idea of blowing six figures on a bag quickly sparked outrage from fans. And the did not hold back from calling Kim out for how out of touch she seems to be with her audience.

As many called Kim out for being so out of touch with her following, others were quick to point out how life changing that type of money could be.
