Kanye West, Kim Kardashian enjoy trip to the beach following election loss

Days after failing to make headway in the presidential election, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian jetted off for an impromptu beachside holiday. 

While Kanye had high hopes entering the election and hoped he might be able to emerge as a dark horse in the 2020 presidential election, the rapper and business mogul’s hopes of making it to the White House were quickly dashed on election night.

Although the results of the election were not called the night of the election, it quickly became clear that Kanye did not have the backing he hoped for. Running independently, Kanye managed to collect 60,000 votes out of the estimated 160 million votes cast.

How did Kanye West and Kim Kardashian react to Kayne’s election loss?

The news wasn’t quite what Kayne was hoping for and he quickly conceded on election night. However, Kanye made it clear his dream of making it to the White House is far from over.

Although he’s yet to release a formal statement, Kanye took to Twitter the night of the election with a simple tweet announcing his intentions to run in 2024.

Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian; however, made it clear she couldn’t be happier with the results of the election.

Like Kanye, Kim has not released a statement addressing Kanye’s loss she was quick to show support for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’s victory by retweeting a series of tweets accompanying them with red, white and blue heart emojis.

While the two have taken Kanye’s loss in stride, they’ve decided to ease the sting of Kanye’s defeat by sneaking away to enjoy some time on the beach with one another because nothing eases the pain of losing an election quite like some fun in the sun on picturesque beaches.

Taking to Twitter, Kim shared a sweet shot of her and Kanye on the beach taking in the beauty around them and unplugging following the election.

Although Kim seems to be living her best life in the moment, we can’t help but feel that Kanye is still processing his defeat as evident by his posture and pose in the photo shared by Kim. Although things might not have gone his way, one has to give it to Kanye for going after his dream and putting himself out there.

We’re sure a few days on the beach will serve as the perfect remedy for the pair to recharge and figure out what’s next now that the election has passed.
