Tristan Thompson’s new NBA deal could spell trouble for Khloe Kardashian

Tristan Thompson has inked a new deal with the Boston Celtics could spell major trouble for his relationship with Khloe Kardashian.

It’s the end of an era for Tristan Thompson. After spending eight seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tristan is about to play for a new team for the first time since joining the NBA back in 2011 when the Cavaliers drafted him fourth overall.

With his contract in Cleveland up, Tristan became a free agent for the first time in his NBA career leaving his future with the Cavaliers up in the air. However, it now seems his time with the team has come to a close with Tristan moving on to a new team.

According to reports, Tristan has inked a new two-year deal with the Boston Celtics which is rumored to be worth just shy of $20 million. The deal is quite a major win for Tristan professionally; however, the lingering question on the minds of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans is what exactly it might mean for his personal relationship with Khloe Kardashian.

After a cheating scandal nearly tore them apart for good, Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian found their way back to one another earlier this year as the couple quarantined together with daughter True. While they kept things on the down-low for months, in recent weeks the pair have finally made their relationship status more official to the world and seem to be in a really great place. 

However, one can’t help but question whether Tristan signing with a team located literally across the country from where Khloe resides in LA might spell trouble for the pair.

Part of what helped the couple grow closer and work through their issues was the ability to spend some real quality time with one another. While the couple is on solid ground, we imagine Tristan having to spend time across the country for several months a year during the season has the potential to put a strain on his relationship with Khloe.

We can only hope the pair finds a way to make those long(er) distance months in their relationship work as there’s nothing we want more than to see Khloe happy and doing well!
