In wake of the news of Meghan Markle’s miscarriage, the royal family is said to be in a state of “great sadness” and is sending support to Meghan & Harry.
On Nov. 25, Meghan Markle openly shared her miscarriage experience via an op-ed. published by The New York Times entitled “The Losses We Share.” In the powerful piece, Meghan candidly discusses the moment in which she realized she was losing the child she was carrying at the time — a moment she and Prince Harry had kept private until now:
"“Make breakfast. Feed the dogs. Take vitamins. Find that missing sock. Pick up the rogue crayon that rolled under the table. Throw my hair in a ponytail before getting my son from his crib. After changing his diaper, I felt a sharp cramp. I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right. I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second.”"
While Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and the royal family have not been on the best of terms in recent months, the royals are rallying behind Meghan and Harry in wake of the heartbreaking news surrounding the loss of the couple’s second child.
