Khloe Kardashian’s baby daddy Tristan Thompson has become an official US citizen, completing the steps for US citizenship after coming to the US on a visa.

2020 is shaping up to be quite the year for Tristan Thompson, both personally and professionally.

While 2020 has put a strain on many relationships, it’s had the opposite effect for Tristan Thompson with the year bringing him closer with his former flame Khloe Kardashian. After a rough breakup, Tristan and Khloe have found their way back to one another this year in spending time working through the issues of their past in order to get to a really good place.

In addition to patching up his relationship with Khloe, the year has also brought with it an exciting career opportunity. After spending eight seasons playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tristan is set to begin a new chapter in his NBA career having signed a new 2-year deal with the Boston Celtics.

Now, Tristan has achieved yet another personal goal: becoming a US citizen!

Tristan Thompson becomes an official US citizen

Having originally come to the States on a student visa, Tristan recently began the process of becoming an official US citizen. While it’s unclear how long Tristan has been in the process of applying for US citizenship, his dream has finally become a reality.

As confirmed via the USCIS Western Region’s official Twitter account, Tristan became an official US citizen on Nov. 24 when he completed the final stages of the process.

In a statement celebrating the news, Tristan commented, “I came to the US on a student visa and have always had big dreams. I’m not truly living the American dream.”
