Caitlyn Jenner is giving everyone a run for their money on Cameo, but not necessarily in a good way.

On Reddit, someone addressed the fact that the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is charging a hefty fee on the platform, asking, “$2,500??? How is her cameo the most expensive on a site with James Bond, NBA players, and actors?” And they weren’t the only person wondering.

If you’re unfamiliar with Cameo, here’s the scoop. As noted by Business Insider, the photo and video sharing platform is a virtual space where “everyday people hire actors, athletes, artists, and celebrities of all types to create personalized video messages for any occasion.” And it’s certainly nothing celebs are scoffing at.

Many big names in Hollywood have joined Cameo just like Caitlyn Jenner, including Lindsay Lohan, Lance Bass, and Busy Philipps, to name a few. As Pop Sugar points out, even Miley Cyrus joined the app for a day, but only as her Black Mirror persona, Ashley O. Welcome to the future, friends.

Apparently, the real difference between Caitlyn Jenner and other celebrities using Cameo is what the Olympic-athlete-turned-reality-star is currently charging. As earlier mentioned, it appears that the I Am Cait alum won’t be giving out her personalized shoutouts for anything less than a cool $2,500. And I think it goes without saying, that seems pretty steep.

According to Business Insider, some influencers and lesser-known celebrities are setting their prices as low as $1 to $5, while well-known celebrities are charging anywhere from $500 to Caitlyn’s $2,500 for a personalized video. So what’s the deal with Caitlyn’s cost?

Theories on Reddit are floating around regarding why the star’s rate is so high. One person commented that they think, “Some people make them expensive because they don’t really want to do it lol” adding, “But some people are delusional!” Many seemingly agreed with both points.

To the surprise of many, some fans found the cost justified. Another person replied to the Reddit post with, “I think some of you are forgetting what a huge Olympic star Caitlin was.” And they might be right about that part.
