Kourtney Kardashian is currently facing some post-holiday backlash due to her use, and what some are calling her “overuse,” of one specific term.

On Reddit, a user shared the reality star’s recent Instagram Story, where she says her “quarantine OCD” is kicking in. Near the bottom of the post, the reality star further explains why she’s sharing a shot of her fully stocked fridge, writing, “I’m making an effort to not buy plastic containers so to those using boxes, glass, or other plastic alternatives, thank you, and to any plastic I have in here I won’t be buying anymore… so can you please change to NO plastic?”

Needless to say, not everyone liked what they saw or what Kourtney Kardashian said. The user who reposted the Poosh founder’s post wrote, “They really need to stop saying OCD,” and asked, “How have they not been called out for it yet?” Just like that, people began calling Kourtney, and seemingly all of the Kardashians, out online, particularly users who say they suffer from OCD themselves.

One person wrote that they have OCD and do “compulsive rituals” too, adding, “I take medication for it. Every time Khloé says she has OCD just because she likes organizing her food I roll my eyes.” In contrast, others responded saying they weren’t bothered by Kourtney’s use of the term. Another user responded, “I have really bad OCD and TBH I don’t really mind when people use it like this because I know what they mean.” Both stances are, of course, fair.

The criticism didn’t stop there, however. Some people online are claiming the comment at the bottom of Kourt’s Instagram Story actually irked them way more than the “OCD” remark. One person noted that they found her comment about plastic “even more offensive,” explaining:

"I find her lower right comment even more offensive, since she has never objected to flying around on private jets and living in a massive mansion which are terrible for the environment."

Many seemingly agreed and have yet to let Kourt off the hook for this one. And for now, the general consensus amongst the masses seems to be that both statements were “insensitive” in different ways.

Kourtney Kardashian has yet to respond to the backlash.
