On Sunday, March 7, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will join their pal Oprah Winfrey for their first major interview since permanently walking away from the Royal Family.

The 90-minute Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special is sure to be an explosive event giving the former royals the chance to speak openly and candidly in finally giving them the opportunity to tell the world their side of the story. In fact, it’s that ability to open up about the past year from their perspective in setting the record straight which Meghan and Harry are said to be most excited about.

As royal insider Nicholl King told Entertainment Tonight, “The couple really want this to be an interview in which they can sit down and tell their side of the story. This is their first opportunity to sit down and talk about the past year in their own words.”

While Meghan and Harry have no intentions to hurt or upset those in the Royal Family, rumor has it nothing will be off-limits in the upcoming interview. In fact, Meghan and Harry have quite a lot of ground to cover during the upcoming interview with their pal Oprah.

What will Meghan Markle discuss during her Oprah interview?

Of course, the one point that is certain to come up when Meghan and Harry sit down with Oprah is going to be the decision to step away from the Royal Family and why they felt it was the right move on their part. Given how fresh their departure is, it will be interesting to see how personal they choose to make that portion of the interview and just what tea they might spill while sitting down with Oprah.

“Let’s not forget, this is really the first opportunity the couple have had to put their side of the story across,” Nicholl said. “Their side of the story has been put forth by many other voices, but not theirs—this, I’m told, is their moment to tell the truth in their own words.”
