Kim Kardashian confesses to stealing pal Allison Statter’s bearded dragon

Kim Kardashian has come clean about her decision to steal her best friend Allison Statter’s pet and it’s creating quite a stir.

Kim recently shared a sweet photo of her daughter North West posing with the Kardashian family’s newest addition: a bearded dragon named Speed. In the photos, North and the bearded dragon are sporting matching SKIMS Cozy hoodies.

While adding new pets to the family is nothing new to the family, it seems the story of how Speed came into the family’s lives is actually quite unique. The reason? Rather than buying Speed at a pet store, it turns out that Kim stole him from her bestie Allison!

“Speed was really my BFF Allison’s and we babysat for a week and she never left and it’s been months!” Kim wrote, jokingly confessing to petnapping the sweet creature from Allison.

Although Kim Kardashian’s photo of North and the family’s pet bearded dragon was meant to be a sweet moment, things quickly spiraled as fans call Kim out for the pet’s treatment.

“This is cruel. As a bearded dragon owner, you should NOT be holding your dragon upright, this is dangerous and can be fatal as they can’t breathe, you should also NOT be putting anything over their third eye as this scares them, their third eye is an additional sense,” commented one user calling into question the care of the pet.

The comment was one of many which took aim at Kim’s treatment of the pet with many hitting home the argument that animals are not toys.

From the way North was holding the bearded dragon to the decision to dress it up in a custom SKIMS Cozy jacket and Lil Uzi jewel, animal lovers were quick to put Kim on blast in the comments of her post. The treatment of the pet has created quite a controversy among fans, though we imaging Kim likely has more to worry about with her ongoing divorce than what fans are saying on social media.
