What does Meghan Markle do for a living, both before marrying Prince Harry and currently? Here’s what we know about how Markle brings in the money!
Before Meghan Markle married into the royal family, she was best known for her role in the USA drama Suits. In the series, the Duchess of Sussex played the role of one of the main characters, Rachel Zane, for seven seasons, a senior paralegal.
Suits had a large following, but Markle didn’t become a household name until she began to date, and later marry, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. And it wasn’t her first marriage. Markle was married to Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2013.
Despite what some considered to be small fame for her role in Suits, Markle was also a humanitarian aid worker and advocate.
How does Meghan Markle make money in 2021?
Since leaving the royal family, Markle has made a few appearances. Most notably, Markle narrated the documentary Elephant for Disney Plus. And contrary to popular belief, neither Markle nor Prince Harry was paid for their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In the same interview, Harry and Meghan also revealed they have a deal with Netflix, which may currently be their largest source of income.
What all comes with this deal? According to the Independent UK, the duo will be producing documentaries, a docu-series, featured films, children’s programming, and more! As the source shares, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that they plan on “creating content that informs but also gives hope.”
There aren’t many other details, but the source also spills that this deal “could be worth” about $100 million.
Markle is expecting her second child, a daughter, this summer, so she may not become involved in too much for a while, but we can’t wait to learn more about their Netflix productions and projects.
